AstroPeak Observatories is looking for a dependable individual or couple to live on-site and help care for a remote astronomy observatory under some of the darkest skies in the United States.

Compensation
  • Full-hookup RV site provided (power, water, sewer, and high-speed internet)
  • Monthly pay of $500–$2,500+ depending on experience, skills, availability, and responsibilities
  • Use of an observatory pier for your own astronomy equipment
  • One pet welcome
About the Role
This is a flexible position that can range from simply providing an on-site presence and monitoring the property to becoming actively involved in observatory operations, technical projects, maintenance, customer support, and infrastructure development.
This position starts with basic caretaker responsibilities, but there is substantial opportunity to grow into observatory operations, technical support, automation, networking, facilities management, and leadership roles as the business expands.
For the right person, this can become a long-term role with significant growth opportunities.
